    quiet and efficient! I have a 700 sqft basement partly unfinished and this size is perfect. I use the draining system for my sump and it works very well without over-taxing the unit and with no leaks. Don’t buy smaller units, it will overwork. My basement is damp.

    Dry! During the winter months, our house seems to be ultra humid. The Dehumidifier did a great job of dropping the humidity in our home and collecting all the extra moisture from the air. You can set the humidifier to run for a specified amount of time until a specific humidity is reached, or just as long as you need it to drop the humidity in a room. It operates about as loud as a fan, and the air that comes out is just slightly heated, but not so much that it warms a room. It works effectively enough to keep our home’s moisture levels in check, it has earned its place in our home to keep our air a bit drier and windows and walls clear of moisture.

    This will suck the water out of your skin! :P It made our very moist bathroom much more livable! Ran it 24 hours for the first few days of owning it, possibly a week and then after that for only a few hours a day and it keeps the humidity at bay really well! Works great at keeping out linen closet which is also in the bathroom area nice and dry! Would buy another of the same company! Noise level is fairly loud but I have never seen a quiet dehumidifier…doubt they exist!

    It appears to be well built except for one major flaw and that would be the humidity sensor/gauge. This unit reads a higher humidity in the room than it is actually. It’s off by as much as 10%. When the comfort mode is selected the unit is supposed to turn off once it reaches 50% humidity but it doesn’t. This dehumidifier will run constantly causing your electric bill to skyrocket. I will be returning the unit.

    Good item! We’ve had this keeping our basement dry for a couple of years now. We use the hose drain feature to drain directly into a drain so we never have to empty the bucket. During the summer it runs about 12 hours a day to keep our large basement dry. Nice automatic controls.

    The unit ran fine the first year, we covered and stored for the winter, uncovered and ran the next spring but no humidity was being removed. After working with the manufacturer performing trouble shooting, they ended up sending an other new unit. I am hoping I don’t have the same issue next year!

    I read a lot of reviews and decided to go with this 35 Pint 3,000 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier. It works great not to loud on low setting. Has many adjustable settings. It kept turning off and on in the area I had it in. It would be off for a minute then right back on. was told it was to large for the area I had it in. In the past when I order using Amazon if I am not happy with the product I take it to a Amazon return center and send it back no problems. Not the case with this large item so be sure you want it and will like it before you buy because the cost to ship back to them is expensive I paid $58.50, if I had known it was that expensive to send back I would have sold it as used local. I decided I will replace it but will have to be with a brand from a local store. I will not order anymore large items that I have to pay return shipping on. Its one of the reasons I am not a fan of online shopping. All this being said I do think it is a great item it pulls humidity level down fast. It is a bit loud if you run it in turbo mode. hope all this helps someone else.

    I live in Florida. I have had my apartment flood twice. I purchased this dehumidifier to maintain a proper level of humidity for my books/comic books. It works very well. This dehumidifier has worked extremely well on its highest setting non-stop. I can not imagine where I would be without this item.

    Humsure dehumidifier is much quieter. It removes more water from the air in my bathroom and kitchen than the old compressor it works, it’s quiet, and I need to figure out how to hook up the hose because it is collecting a lot of water, and I don’t want to be emptying the bucket all the time. It dropped the RH in my bathroom 20% in two hours when I first plugged it in. For now, I’m pleased with my purchase.

    Great reduction in humidity! I am so happy with this product. I belong to Consumer Reports and it was recommended by them. It is unbelievable how much moisture was in the air in our basement. It is very attractive, too, and doesn’t look tacky in the area where we placed it. It is not noisy and puts out, surprisingly, very little heat while running.

    We live by the beach in an older apartment and in the winter we have a serious mold problem! It has been the literal bane of my existence. It grows everywhere, the walls, the ceilings, even on my leather shoes in the closet! I swear it has even affected our respiratory system so I said enough is enough and we got this bad boy. I have a humidity monitor that was reading almost 80% at night. After a day of running this in our 300sq foot bedroom it dropped to 50%. Biggest drawback for us is the noise level and it is definitely hard to sleep with it on but our bedroom is pretty small for such a large appliance. In the end I’ll live with it because the musty smell and moist walls are gone.

    I bought this based on its capacity & the fact its supposed to be be quiet. Its quite LOUD! If you’re looking for a white noise type of sound to drown out traffic/outside noises etc… this would work great! Also after having two units for over a month, they both now make an EXTREMELY ANNOYING dripping sound. We have both units on all the time, NJ is humid in the summer, but it only started happening after about a month of use in both units. So yeah, that dripping is keeping me up at night. My bedroom is very large, I roll the machine as far away from the bed and behind the wall/around a small corner where we added a bathroom, so its pretty far away from my bed and behind a wall. I sleep with a white noise machine on & can STILL hear the dripping at night. So no more using it at night. I have to say my bedroom is a sunroom with many many windows, & poor insulation. This machine does the trick, getting the humidity down to a comfortable level. So yeah this machine works awesome, easy to move on the wheels, simple basic to operate, but its loud and maybe you will get a dripping sound that will keep you up at night.

    The noise level is not too loud and it does not disturb the area. The wheels make it convenient to move around anywhere around the house.     Function! This product works great! Make sure to let it sit upright for 24 hours before plugging it in or turning it on the first time. It is very humid (70-80%) where I live. This machine pulls buckets full of water out of my air every day! You can move it from room to room, so you only need one per level of your house. Since using this dehumidifier, I don’t need my whole-house air conditioner nearly as much! I feel so very much more comfortable with this dehumidifier! I think it even makes the house smell cleaner! You can hear it running, but I like the white noise that it makes. If you’re going to entertain you can just roll it to an out-of-the-way place while you have guests in your home. I am beyond satisfied with this product. I am really happy with it.

To give you an idea of how horrible my condensation problem was, water would be pooling on the windowsill and dripping on the floor every morning. Not a problem this morning!

    However, this dehumidifier is INCREDIBLY LOUD. Having it in my room is equivalent to sleeping next to a clunky old furnace, or an old in-window AC Unit. To clarify, this is when the dehumidifier is set to Comfort mode; it is EVEN LOUDER when set to Turbo mode.

    If you are using this dehumidifier in a living room or basement space, highly recommend; it’s doing a great job of keeping moisture down. If this is for your bedroom and you aren’t a super heavy sleeper, go with another brand, because with this machine on you will never sleep properly again.”

    This replaced my previous humidifier that was loud and stopped working. It is in a 800 sq ft basement. The previous unit was, visually, twice as large and would keep the humidity at 50% turning on an off. I would have to empty the previous unit every two days. Just looking at this on the webpage, I thought it was the same size. And its stats made you think it was the same size. It’s not. The unit fills up in 1/2 a day, the reservoir is much smaller. Since you are never sure when your half day is, you have to have it tied into a drain because it has to run 24/7 on the highest settings (which are loud) or it will turn off when the reservoir is full. It still can’t keep the humidity down. I wouldn’t buy this again. It seems to be under-engineered and over-marketed.

    I live in the Southern US (where basements should never be built) but somehow I have one in my 1950’s house. It wasn’t really any good for storage and attracted bugs because it was always humid and musty. I placed this dehumidifier in my very humid basement and within a week or so it completely cleared out the humidity and stuffiness. Helped with the bugs as well. My basement is approximately 850 square feet and one of these units was completely effective for the entire area. I set it at 50% humidity. Have had it for 3 months and it works great!     “I purposefully went with a size WAY too big due to relatively high humidity. That being said, it fills every single night to the brim in 8 hours or less. The design flaw here isn’t even that the labeling clearly isn’t really accurate depending on your humidity level, it is the BEEPING that the vremi gives off when full—- what this translates to in reality is waking me up at 5AM every day with 8 consecutive beeps. Pretty maddening. It’s such a silly thing not to be able to disable. I did reach out to confirm that it can’t be disabled. You can only bypass it by using a hose, and in my bedroom set up as well as many others, that isn’t an option.
    Another thing that is frustrating about this unit is putting the basin back in- it’s very hard to slide in without significant struggle. It’s more of an ordeal than it should be.
    All this being said I am really bummed because in other aspects I like the vremi. Like the sound, like the buttons, like the efficiency (although my basin clearly should be about 3x as large) and like the look. But is that all worth disrupting my sleep every day- no. way. I wish I had a model where the simple beeping issue was corrected, because it’s one thing to fill every 8 hours, it’s another to startle you awake over it.”

    It worked fine for two years but then it began to leak. Thought the leak was due to the drain at first so I re-plumbed the drain from a hose to a rigid PVC drain. I can connect a garden hose running full blast to the drain now and that does not leak so it is not the drain system. I disconnected it from the drain, connected the cap to the drain outlet, placed it flat on the floor and it forms puddles on the floor. I guess I will need to get a new unit – NOT a Vermin

    Was great at removing humidity. I could tell the difference in just a few minutes. I checked the water storage tank and it was empty. The machine was leaking from the hose attachment area. Seemed like a lot of water. I called customer service and they asked me to tighten the cap. I tried removing and replacing the cap but it still leaked. They told me to return it but I was willing to try to wait for them to send me another cap because I really did love how it dehumidified and really needed it immediately. I tried to connect a hose to it and use it that way while I waited on the new cap to arrive but it still leaked on the floor, not into the hose or the container. I give 3 stars for the humidity it removed and response from customer service, but it was extremely hard to repackage to send back. Could recommend that they check the machine for that defect and improve on it because other than that the machine worked very well.

The hourly power useage reading in my home (Thanks FPL) was $1.00 higher the day I used the dehumidifier (with very limited A/C use) compared to just keeping the indoor temp at 77 degrees via the AC.     “Well it’s small but it works. I got it for our basement as it said 2,500 square feet. I’m certain eventually it could probably get most of the basement down to a proper humidity level but it will likely have to run for a week straight to try and keep up. At best I’d use this for 500 to 800 square feet nothing more.
    The Fill bucket is absolutely tiny I don’t know if it holds even a gallon of water and we have to empty it every 8 hours. The drain hose is laughable and it’s a good thing the bucket stays in while the drain hose is there because the fitting leaks.
    With that said for $115 it’s hard to go wrong for a small space. It’s nice and quiet though. If it wasn’t so cheap it would get 1 star but again it’s hard to beat this value on sale.”

    “Having moved to a new home lakeside the levels of humidity in the house were noticeably different than my prior home. The real issue that the humidity caused was the increase of bugs that existed in my basement, particularly centipedes. It felt like a hopeless battle, having to vacuum these creatures several times a day, until I started to look into altering levels of humidity to make them less comfortable.     Looks nice and seems to work great! We live in a low-lying area known for a number of ponds, lakes, and springs. The humidity in the area is always much higher than in the city, usually by 20% or so. We’ve had a lot of trouble with dampness and sometimes mildew on some leather shoes in the closets.     I have an 800sq ft house. The basement is less than 350sq ft, but rarely does the humidity reader on this drop below 60%—on high and set at 40%. My previous 40 year old model would shut off several times a day as it reached 40% without having to empty a full bucket. I’ve tried several locations down there to no avail. The other thing is it comes with detached wheels, but nowhere to put them.

    The fan never shuts off. After emailing several different people at the manufacture it was my determination that they don’t know how they designed it.     Unit arrived very well packaged. Following directions I waited a couple hours before using the dehumidifier. The digital buttons to select settings initially seemed difficult to activate, but after a couple days of adjusting and trying settings this improved greatly. I believe coming from the factory the switches going into the circuit board probably have very tight tolerances due to being brand new. It now operates easily with a little break-in time, and the interface functions very well. I have left it on “raining” setting as that brings humidity down to about 50% which for me is ideal. I have a sizeable collection of guitars and drums, and humidity affects their stability. I use the bucket and have had not issues with leaking or emptying it when full. The unit is very quiet and takes up minimal space for a larger sized dehumidifier.

    I’ve been using this dehumidifier for a few days now. It works very well and extracts quite a bit of moisture from the air. The quality is pretty decent, and it is very easy to use. I let this unit stay out in the upright position for 24 hours after I received it as the instructions said. I like the digital display, however the power button is a little bit difficult to see. I removed one star as I feel 3 flaws of the machine are the amount of noise it makes. It is not ear busting but it is a bit on the louder side, as well as the humidity sensor. As soon as the machine reaches the set level, it turns off but within about 3 to 4 seconds it turns back on again. I also find the power button to be less visible than the rest of the function buttons. It was definitely worth the money and I would buy again, but I do wish that they would address the issue with the very hard to see power button as well as the noise level and humidity sensor.

    Average dehumidifier. Like other reviewers, the continuous draining hose did not operate as it should & caused the unit’s bucket to fill up or the condenser water overflowed onto the floor. I had the drain hose exit the back of the unit, run across the floor and then up & into a condensation pump. The hose level going into the condensation pump was lower than where the hose exited the unit… so the water should have gravity feed into the pump. The hole the water exits through out the back of the unit is too small to overcome the air pocket that forms in the drainage hose, thus the condensation water overflows onto the floor or fills up the bucket & turns the unit off when filled. MY SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM: where the drainage hose exits the back of the unit I made a small hole (2mm) on THE TOP of the rubber drainage hose. This allows the air in the hose to escape, thus allowing the water to properly drain out of the unit & into my condensation pump. No water overflows onto the floor nor does the bucket fill up once this was accomplished.

    The dehumidifier it was intended to replace was rated for 700 sq ft. This unit (rated for 2000 sq ft according to the product title) collects well under half the water as my old unit. Also, the hygrometer is not calibrated correctly. This unit shows a humidity level 10% lower than a standalone meter and 20% lower than the meter on the dehumidifier it was intended to replace. Basically it shows a low humidity level, which makes you believe it is working really well. Two stars because it technically works, just not that great.

    This unit is fairly compact and works well in my basement. During the summer I empty it once a day. My biggest complaint is the drawer. It’s nice that it’s in the front of the unit and getting it out isn’t a problem. Putting it back in is sort of a pain. It doesn’t close easily and if you don’t do it just right you will have to take it out and try again. I found that if I push it in near the bottom corners of the drawer it clicks into place easier, but it still doesn’t work all the time and I have to try several times before it closes correctly. Annoying when you have to empty once a day (in summer). I found the noise level to be quite low so not sure why some people find it too loud. My previous unit was much louder than this one. So gets the job done, is quiet, but drawer doesn’t go back in smoothly all the time.

    “I disliked the fact that the intake of air is from one small side of the unit. And the expelled air leaves the unit from the top of the unit which is correctly placed. Very noisy. You must register this unit on the manufacturers website and you can only control the operating features by WiFi remote control. Too complicated. No buttons on unit itself to control it. I did not like this setup and I question the privacy non feature so I returned it.
    I bought a Made in the USA brand to replace my old dehumidifier. No WiFi remote. And I am very pleased with its performance.”

    We followed the instructions and waited 24 hours after it was in place and upright before turning it on. Once it was turned on it began working but the water did not collect in the unit’s bucket, it dripped out on the floor. I called the customer support 800 number two consecutive days. It took them two days to get back to me only to ask me to send them multiple photos of the unit. Then they informed me by email that they don’t have replacement service parts (a small rubber plug which I believe to be defective and the source of the leak) and suggest I use a garden hose and Teflon tape to connect to a port on the rear of the unit. Even if I do that, the point where the water leaks out (rubber plug) is below that port and will still leak. I plan to just return it as defective but it did not specify free return so it would cost $60 in return shipping.

    I like how quiet it is and the ability to set different modes. It also is very effective in lowering the humidity in my basement. My biggest disappointment was the timer, although I guess one should not expect much more from a timer than to turn it off after a certain time period or turn it on after a certain time period. I wanted to be able to set a schedule to turn off during peak electrical rate hours and back on afterwards and continue doing it on a schedule each day. It is not capable of doing that, but I found a workaround by plugging it into a smart plug that allows me to set a schedule for each day of the week.

    “We bought our first one in October 2020, and it lasted through the following summer until September 2021. As others have mentioned, the bottom half of the rear exhaust forms a huge block of ice around it (loss of refrigerant) that won’t melt without keeping the unit off for several days. Luckily, the unit was still under warranty and they sent me a new one free of charge.

    I’m now having the same issue with this second unit in July 2022. I plan to buy something more expensive from a more reputable brand, since it’s a huge pain to get rid of these old units and get replacements. Don’t even bother with any extended warranties unless you plan to change this out more frequently than your mobile phone.”

    This is a decent unit. It is definitely not for anything bigger then 700 sqft. Its currently in my 1000 sqft basement on the east coast. Temperature is 72 to 74 in basement and its summer outside so 80 to 95 day and 75 to 80 night. Humidity is very high outside up to 80% without rain. The basement with this unit never get humidity below 58% at full blast 24hrs/day. It would work great in a smaller area but not up to par for 1000sqft or bigger. 7/19/22.

    I was very impressed with this dehumidifier at first. When I received the unit, it worked great. Unfortunately, after about 10 months it stopped working properly. The unit constantly iced up and I never saw the auto-defrost function turn on. We set the thermostat in our house to 72-76 degree F so the ambient air temp should not be the issue. I have a smaller Hisense unit that runs in an adjacent space that constantly fills up with water while this unit barely pulls out anything. The thermister appears to work as it does change RH over time but the unit does not fill with water. Ten months of good use is not worth the ticket price.

    This is my second for these units. They work great for as long as they work and it’s time to get a new one. The first one I had lasted about 13 months, the 2nd one I had last 11 months. The same issue occurred on both units, they freeze up. I tried cleaning the units and defrosting (note, it’s supposed to have a auto-defrost), but nothing works. I am going to try another brand. One must be careful purchasing sponsored products on Amazon and this is an Amazon sponsored unit/brand. My experience has not been good, products tend to be less expensive with lots of good reviews but I found them to be cheap and they don’t last.

    Bought this dehumidifier expecting it to cover a 2000 sq ft space and unfortunately it couldn’t keep up with our 700 sq ft basement which is relatively dry to begin with. We plugged it in and ran it for a week to get the humidity levels to drop from 65% and the lowest it would go after a week was 58%. This was running on high with the continuous drain hose attached. The drain hose also seemed a little undersized for the machine and the water would get trapped in the drain even with the hose cut down for a short straight run into the drain. The pros of the machine was it did run quiet but unfortunately not good as some of the other reviews I read online about it. We ended up sending the unit back and purchasing a larger unit from a different company. If you were to use this in a small room it may work for you but not for a open basement.

    You hear about how small appliances are now being poorly made and designed to fail shortly after the warranty period. That is exactly what happened with this Dehumidifier. The reviews were good (aren’t they always), and the design appeared to be good, with useful features. It worked well in my basement for almost a year. Although very noisy, it was initially effective at reducing the humidity in my basement. After about nine months, it started working off and on, and freezing up – even though it is supposed to have an automatic defrost cycle. I procrastinated – lesson number two – and it stopped working completely after about one year and several weeks. It would turn on and run, and blow air, but no water was removed from the air – the basket was bone dry after running for several days non-stop. If you want something that will last a while – this product is not the answer. Maybe it would be good for several hours a day, but not a full load. And for over $200, you would think it would last more than one year. On to another brand – and this time make sure you use a credit card with and extended warranty!

    From my experience and from reading reviews of many different dehumidifiers it seems like dehumidifiers are not built the way they used to and that all dehumidifiers have a percentage of units that go defective way too fast. This is my third dehumidifier from this company and the first one to have a minor problem (noisy fan). The company worked with me and quickly remedied the problem. I don’t think you can expect more from a dehumidifier. There are two dehumidifier brands I would buy from and this is one of them

    Unless I am missing something, there is no really good spout to pour out the water — it is NOT easy to do a clean pour from the bucket into my sink– the water pours out out of the bucket from about 4 places.Other than this….it is a great dehumidifier. It is pretty quiet, The noise level only picks up when the bucket is almost full. It quickly sucks up the humidity in my apartment (of which there is plenty in this waterloogged climate I live in). I’ll just learn how to live with the bucket pouring/spilling problem by putting a large puppy pad on the floor in the area I am pouring from.

    Bought this after great reviews and am not disappointed. Dropped the RH in my mom’s ground floor condo from 86% to 56% in 3hrs. Her home is cooler and the AC doesn’t have to run as much. Only had it one day, so not sure if I will hook up the external line or just use the bucket. The noise level is a bit louder than a large floor-standing fan on max setting. Can still hear conversations easily with it running though.

    When this unit works, it’s great!!! Unfortunately for me, mine broke after several months. Luckily, the unit is covered under a 1 year warranty. I didn’t have a lot of faith after reading the reviews on here about their customer service, but I just had great experience. I emailed them to tell them my unit was running, but blowing cold air and not collecting any water. They sent me instructions to try. After trying their instructions and not getting anywhere, I told them. They asked me for a pic of the S/N and some other information. As soon as I sent it to them, they notified me that a replacement unit was on it’s way and that I didn’t have to return the broken unit. This is unlike the experience others have reported here. So, if yours is broken and covered under the warranty, it’s worth a shot to contact the company. They respond fairly quickly.

    A wheel broke in transit and the company immediately replaced the unit free of charge. Works great, plenty quiet at night when on “sleep” mode which has it run less aggressively but less noise. The only downside is I live in a tropical environment and have to empty it every day as the tank isn’t as large as it needs to be, but my area is far more humid than average so don’t let that sway you away. A great dehumidifier all around.

    This is as quiet as a small fan, and it removes humidity beautifully. I had never heard of a compressorless dehumidifier and had real reservations about this purchase, but I decided to take the plunge. I liked it so much that that I purchased a second one. I would highly recommend this for anyone want a quiet, efficient, and effective dehumidifier. As a bonus NO COMPRESSOR to go bad. I’m still not sure about the how it works without a compressor but no compressor means fewer moving parts to break and much quieter operation. I don’t think you will regret purchasing it, I know I don’t.

    Boat living and Great for small spaces and light enough to move around my 30ft sailboat. Also has rain feature so it pumps out cooler air, I have this going on one end and with a window unit in the companionway it cools the place down like never before.     I bought this dehumidifier recently relying on good reviews by precious purchasers and found it to be an excellent one. It runs quietly and effectively according to the set humidity levels. I have not yet tested all the features of the machine but assume that they will all function well. I am draining the condensed water continuously to the outside, but the location of the draining outlet tube was a little inconvenient, going through a hole in the bucket wall. It would have been better to have the outlet tube accessible without having to remove the bucket. Overall, I am very satisfied with the70 dehumidifier.

    Great dehumidifier! Our very large basement started to smell stale so we bought this one. Now the musty smell is gone and the air down there is dry again. It was easy to install and has a place to put a drain hose which empties into our sump well so no need to run down and empty a container every day or so.
