Kept this in the tack room of my barn. After 18 months, it stopped pulling water. We kept cleaning it, cleaning the filter, changed from emptying the bucket to using a drain hose, but it won’t work any more. Would not reccomend.

This helps you with humidity related problems like a rainy season, hot summer, and stubborn condensation in winter. This comes with a 3.94′ drain hose that can connect to the drain pipe hole to keep draining water so you don’t need to manually drain it. The water tank is 0.357 gallons and 1.35L. Once it reaches maximum capacity it will automatically stop and the “tank full” will light up until it is emptied so the water doesn’t overflow and cause damage. It comes with a washable filter back cover that captures dust in the air. It works in living room, bedroom, bathroom, closet, or basement. Full disclosure: this review is in response to receiving this product for free. That said, it’s been in use for one week and has been doing what I want a dehumidifier to do: pull water out of the air. It’s much quieter than I expected it to be, so that’s a plus. Also, I like that it automatically powers off when the water container is full and then starts back up when the empty container is replaced. As for how large an area it covers? I can’t say, since I have it in walk-in closet that’s connected to the bathroom (that has terrible ventilation, hence the need for a dehumidifier in that area.) So far I’m happy with it. I’ll keep my rating at 4 stars because while it says it’s for up to 1500 square feet, I haven’t put it in a location in my home that exposes it to that much area. If I do and I still thinks it works well, maybe I’ll come back and change my rating.

After two years I noticed it wasn’t bringing down the humidity. Took the filter cover off and found half the coils were iced up. So much for the auto defrosting feature. I let it melt and ran again, within 10 minutes had iced up again. I always cleaned the filter and took care of the machine, so was disappointed I only got two years out of it.

The only fault I find that it is difficult to remove water collector without spilling some. When you replace container it must be at a certain angle to slide in. The dehumidifier didn’t ever generate water and when we contacted the company, they offered to replace our unit which they did…with another defective unit (the humidity meter didn’t work as it was stuck on 30). So, instead of replacing our unit we were offered 20% off a new one! Defective product and defective customer service = buy elsewhere. So, in summary, we have 2 defective units…will never buy from this company again.

Compact, handsome little device. Bought this to help with a mold problem I had in my room. This little device is incredibly effective at controlling humidity, and easy to use. Just turn it on, set your desired humidity target, and this machine goes to work fast. The only con is when you first use it it blows out warm air so it raised my room temp a few degrees. But once you get your humidity down and the machine is just maintaining the humidity it’s not too bad.

“I followed the instructions to the letter, including letting the unit sit upright out of the box for 2 hours before turning on (had no problem with this considering the delivery person left it sitting upside down on my porch even though there were clear arrows on the side of the box indicating which way was up). Upon initial set up and running of the unit, it displayed that the humidity level in my house was 76%. I was not at all surprised. My house was built in the late 70’s and still had the original windows. I set the unit on “rain” and let it run all night. Normally, I wouldn’t even have a sheet on me while I sleep but the first night I was scrambling for blankets about 3am. When I checked the unit in the morning, the humidity was down to 48% – score!! About 30 minutes later, I was alerted that the tank was full and needed to be emptied. I emptied it and turned it back on to run while I was at work. When I got back home, I saw the red light on, indicating that the tank was full again and I emptied it again.
My a/c has been kicking on less frequently since I turned on this little gem and I’m so happy that I bought it. I’ll be looking for a smaller unit for my 75 year old mother who has the same humidity issues in a smaller home. As long as it doesn’t crap out on me, this was very smart buy.”

there is no dislike. had a humid basement in a new home. there wasnt any sign of humidity neglect from the previous owner but my humidity level was at 73% when i moved in. ordered this machine and it brought down the humidity in 1 day 8% in first 24 hrs. its very quiet, light , and provides the hose you need for continuous running. i have set it at 50% in a very humid spring wet climate and when put to the test has maintained 52-53% in a 1200 sq ft basement. im very happy. i own properties and have spent much more on loud/large units that give out in 3 years. i dont know how long this will last but i am very satisfied right now after about 3 weeks

I’m using this is in a small garage. It has worked very well. It does fill up every 24-36-48 hours, but the dumping of the water isn’t a big deal. Definitely reduces the humidity level in the garage (single car garage 400-500 sq. ft). No car parked in there, but other stuff where I’d like to keep the humidity controlled.

I use this in conjunction with a larger dehumidifier in my home & it works nicely. This one is outside my bathroom of my small downstairs, which is only about 1400 sq. ft. I live in Alabama where there’s a lot of humidity & I empty the water basin every 6 or so hours & the larger one every 8-10 hours. Remember, that you will empty more often the lower humidity level you set as well, if that makes sense. I keep mine between 45-55 & I have humidity thermometers in every other room. Hope this helps!

The fan never shuts off. After emailing several different people at the manufacture it was my determination that they don’t know how they designed it. Some think the fan should shut off when the condenser isn’t actually running, others say it’s supposed to keep running. Why would it run continuously? Anyway, it works so I will use it, but I’m done with their products. I mean really… If they can’t tell me how THEY designed to work, then I’m better off with another company in the future.

Living lakeside is fantastic, but came with a new set of challenges in life. One of those challenges was the humidity in my personal space. It genuinely feels difficult to breathe when humidity percentages reach upwards of 90%, but that issue was addressed with this dehumidifier. Keeping my personal space within 35-40% range makes it feel akin to the dry air I am used to. What’s impressive alone is the size of this thing! It’s smaller than my rotating fan but puts serious work in. Due to the location of the dehumidifier I am unable to have it constantly draining through a hose, but in a way it’s more interesting to see how much water I’m actually pulling out of the air by manually removing the water. I typically remove between 50-70 pints a day from my bedroom alone. Without this device in my life things would be considerably more challenging, and the shelf life of my items would suffer. This dehumidifier, while not as impactful as the larger one I purchased, is without a doubt as equally important.

When I purchased this unit, it worked exceptionally well in my cool moist basement, dropping humidity from high 70’s to 50’s and filling bucket daily as advertised. I followed maintenance (filter cleaning) and handling requirements in manual. Now in the heat and moisture of MN summers, it runs, however collects no water. Air is going into the unit, air is expelled from the unit, however, humidity peaking today at 71 % at 70 degrees in basement per 3 humidistats in basement. I noticed in manual that unplugging unit without using power button will damage the unit. I have experienced probably 5 or 6 power outages since purchasing and starting this unit. Could this be the cause of unit failure? Disappointed for sure given the high rating this product is getting.

I got this Dehumidifier to help keep my basement dry I have one on one side and this one on other side of basement about 60 feet apart. this on in 5 days has removed 1 bucket of water and the other older on removes 5 in 5 days both set on 55% after 5 days I change what side of basement they was on for only been 1 day but older on has removed 1 bucket the Homelabs 4500 has only taken 3 ” deep of water so far so about 1/5. I let it set for first day like they say. not happy at all.

Pretty good unit until it stopped working. Two years in, almost to the day, it started developing frost, and ice chunks on the back of the unit (eventually the size of a brick). Did all the maintenance and preventative measures, next step was to ‘change the temp and humidity senors’. Forget that. Buying a different model to replace it.

The tank is too small. Considering the size of the whole unit I would’ve expected a much bigger bucket than what came with it. The dehumidifier itself works very well. In fact, it’s so strong that the reservoir fills up quickly. We find it’s best to use the hose so no worries with reservoir filling up now. I did buy an extension cord because cord was not long enough where we needed to place dehumidifier so the hose can run right into our basement drain. First of all the manual for this was clearly written by somebody whose first language is not english. It goes over the different types of modes and buttons but it does not tell you which picture goes along with which mode or which setting so you learn about the settings but you don’t know which setting is attached to which icon on the machine. Also when I plugged it in it told me that my room was at 65% humidity. I want it around 35. And after running for 24 hours ….although I can tell water is being drained from the hose into the drain pipe, it still says the room is still at 65% humidity. If the humidity doesn’t go down in a day or so I’m definitely going to return this. Also the compartment that catches the water is ridiculously small. It’s only a third of the size of the dehumidifier we were previously using.

“I stuck this in my basement and it fills up about 4 times a day. It keeps an accurate humidity reading and has always shut itself off when full, as it’s supposed to. Haven’t hooked the drain hose up yet, but that part seems pretty straightforward.
Lots of different options but what I really like is being able to set my maximum desired humidity levels, so I can save on my power bill and not have to leave it running all of the time.
It’s really lightweight and the tank goes in and out very easily. It has been running nearly constantly for the last week or so with no issues. It has really helped keep the basement dryer which has also helped the rest of our house, too, so it’s made a huge difference.
I haven’t seen any downsides. Not sure I’ll need to use the defrost options or anything, but it’s very nice to have these in case I ever need them.”

I’ve been using this for a few months now and cannot believe how much water it pulls out of the air! I have it it my barn where I leave my homemade soap to cure. I have it on a shelf draining into a five gallon bucket. I have to empty it every other day! I forgot once and the end of the hose was submerged in the water so the machine reacted by filling up the container that will fill if you don’t use the drain hose. When that was full, it just shut off so no big deal. I think I made a good choice with this.

I got this since the rate of moisture draw was high. I read someplace that the tank was clear, it is not. The only way to see how much water there is in the tank is to take it out. Plus the capacity of the tank is rather small for the rate of moisture draw. I think this would be an excellent unit for constant drainage. I love the child lock feature and will keep it because of that; will just need to check it a lot to make sure it keeps running.

Bought this for just my bedroom. It came with a hose & it showed where it attached to catch but the instructions didn’t show where to put the other end. I eventually figured it out & had to buy a rubber foot soak type of bin to run the off water. This is my first dehumidifier living in Florida. I think the instructions assumed that I knew certain things. With the water catch that comes with it, I was able to catch & fill it while running it for only 2-3 hours. Nothing that would last overnight, hence the hose to the external tub.

Based on the good reviews, I thought I just bought a bad humidifier and I purchased a replacement. The same thing just happened again a little over a year later, conveniently outside of the one year warranty window. It appears that these have a flaw in the compressor causing the issue. Stay away.

So I just opened the box and started using it so not sure how well it works yet. My first thought is I am disappointed. It says 25 pints so I expected a 25 pint tank but instead that is the drying capacity but the tank only holds half a gallon. It is very misleading. It is complicated to use. The indicators do not say the same thing the book says they will say which is confusing. The operation is quiet which i like and the air blows out of one side which I like.

It looks nice, it has a drain option, the container is way too small, but all that aside, it doesn’t work. It’s in a 150sqft room, it’s been running for days.. it can’t drop the humidity. Room was 70% humid when i bought it, two weeks later it’s at 65%. My old GE would drop it to 40% in hours.

The dehumidifier itself works great in removing moisture from the air, but the listing stated that a drain hose was included and it was not. It is useless without the drain hose because the water bucket (very low capacity) will fill up midday and the unit will shut off. I am unable to empty it until I get home in the evening and at that point the humidity level has already gone up to what it was before using the humidifier. I did reach out to the seller when I noticed that the hose was missing and was told they would send me one, but it’s been a couple weeks and I have yet to see one. Not sure if it was actually sent or not.

I purchased this for my fairly large, walk in closet, as I have two gun cabinets in there to keep humidity free, or as much as possible. So far, this dehumidifier is doing exactly what it says it will do….and it is doing it VERY WELL and QUIETLY at the same time! Yes, yes, the drain hose is a finicky, but if you use common sense, it isn’t that hard. Then again, I planned ahead. I have it sitting on top of a cheap lamp table with at 2.5 gallon water bottle below it. I tried to use the rubber hose that came with it, and it will work, but it also crimps very easily. So I purchased some hose from the local big box orange store, and it works great! I put a inlet nipple on the top of the 2.5 gallon water jug and bam, works like a champ. I have had it running for about 5 days now, and I will have to empty it today, but I also put it on ‘night’ mode at night, which still works, but at a reduced rate. The tank is very small, but I new that going into this. So can I recommend it? Yes, it certainly does what it says it will do.

I have had this running in a medium size bathroom. I know it wouldn’t work as well as my previous 50pint ge but it is not working nearly as well as I expected. It is louder than advertised. It can’t seem to be the humidity below 56-58% even running for 12 hours with no one in the bathroom. When look at the reading on current humidity it jumps between 70% and high 50’s or low 60’s.

I purchased one of these in April 2019 and liked it so much, that I purchased another in May 2019. They ran in our basement so I was not concerned about noise level. Both were used with the reservoir only. After about two years, they both started to leak, with water going on the floor instead of in the reservoir. My electrician husband opened them up and cleaned both of them out, which solved the issue for only about 2 weeks. Then they would start to leak again. Attaching a hose did not solve the problem nor did tilting the unit back as some have suggested. I see a few other purchasers have had this problem too.

It is really a nice looking little dehumidifier- design was good and seems like it was built good as well, it is super quiet, and the hose hook up worked well with no leaks, but it just wasn’t powerful enough to take enough moisture out of my small basement, I had it running for a few weeks with it set at 35, but the humidity level never went lower than 63. This would probably work well in maybe a small or medium bedroom especially because it is so quiet and not as humid as a basement, I probably would have kept it for a bedroom, but my budget only allow for one dehumidifier and I still need to get a different one for my basement.

Bought a different unit and ended up returning it since it was not strong enough. This one I found and WOW!! Seriously impressed with how well it does in my one car internal garage. It’s not big and doesn’t take up space which was one of my biggest needs but it’s ability to keep up with the humidity is really impressive and important. Our air ducts run through the internal garage up to the kitchen and they started to sweat which was causing mold. Since I added this I have been keeping track of the levels of humidity with a separate gauge and it’s staying within a 1-2% difference of humidity and no new signs of moisture! This unit was easy to use, worked beautifully (when it worked), relatively quiet. But after a year, it began to fail. First, the autodefrost stopped working with ice buildup on the coils. A drippy mess. Finally, while the fan continued, the compressor failed to kick in, with no further dehumidifcation. For $200+, I had hoped for more than one year of operation. Instead, I have a disposable dehumidifier.

I bought my first dehumidifier in April of 2020, which failed in July of 2021. did send me a new unit, but now 13 months later, my new unit has failed for the same reason – low on refrigerant! won’t make good, as they say my two-year warranty expired in April of 2022. But two dehumidifiers failing for the same reason in 30 months is a very bad track record. Buyer beware!

When I first set up the unit I found that the drainage hose was missing. Customer service responded almost immediately and I received a replacement hose within a week. Seems to have a lot of “don’t s in the instructions! I’ve had dehumidifiers before but this one beats them all. Florida is hot and very humid but inside my condo it is dry and at the same temperature set, it is almost too cold at times. I empty out the bottom about three times a day. And each time it is full. There is some noise but who cares? The result is a wonderful dry inside. The towels were damp even before they were used and now nothing is damp. It was wonderfully packed and I followed the directions. I would advise everyone to purchase this machine.

put this dehumidifier in the basement and turn it on occasionally. I just powered it on a few days ago and I noticed that it was taking longer than usual to fill up. I did not think of any issue until two days later when I realized that my carpet has been soaked with water. The tank was not filled up and the cap for the hose was in place. I still don’t understand why it’s leaking or where it’s leaking from. Unfortunately, they only have 1(one) year limited warranty on the unit. too bad for me. Just after two years. I hate wasting money… this is really a waste
